Reading and Writing in History and Social Studies - PA Core Standards (6-12) - Course 2 (LMS112)


Description
This course is an extension of the introductory course on the PA Core Standards in Reading and Writing in History and Social Studies. Much of what will be covered is a detailed application of reading anchored in the love of our history and Social Studies content standards. We will also dabble in the Writing Standards and cover what we can do in our discipline to support good writing. Each participant will be asked to create a plan that includes anyalytical, close reading of informational text coupled with creating a writing prompt for students to display comprehension and mastery of PA Core and Content Standards.
